Hadith Thaqalayn is a very Famous Hadith for the Shia followers, and this Hadith has been collected by both Shia and Sunni Hadith Books. Hadith Thaqalayn is as follows:
The Messenger of God (SAAW) said, “Indeed I leave 2 things behind (after my passing away) for my Ummah (Islamic Nation or Islamic Community) to follow, which if you strictly adhere to, you shall never go astray, Quran and Ahlul Bayt (People of the House)”
We have noticed that our brother has posted this article. This article is related to Hadith Thaqalayn (Two weighty things, meaning the Quran and Ahlul Bayt).

We will if God wills, reply an answer to his articles.
In this article we will respond to some of the points the brother has made, and also, we will add some of our points of our own.
If anyone wants to know who Ahlul Bayt is, they can read this article below:

We will start with, the brothers first sentence.
The six major books of Hadith are referred to as the Sihah Sittah(Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Thirmidhi, Sunan ibn Majah, Sunan Nasai, and Sunan Abu Dawood). However, the other four contain a mixed bag, with Hadith ranging from Dhaeef (weak) to Sahih (authentic).
Even though this article is related to the Hadith Thaqalayn, we will slightly address the Parallel Hadith which is more known in the Sunni and Wahabi followers, that is:
The Messenger of God (SAAW) said, “Indeed I leave 2 things behind (after my passing away) for my Ummah (Islamic Nation or Islamic Community) to follow, which if you strictly adhere to, you shall never go astray, Quran and Sunnah”.
WE WOULD LIKE THE LET THE VIEWERS KNOW THAT NO WHERE IN THE SIHAH SITTAH IS THIS HADITH OF THE QURAN AND SUNNAH MENTIONED. THIS HADITH HAS BEEN COLLECTED BY OTHER SUNNI HADITH BOOKS THAT IS NOT PART OF THE SIHAH SITTAH. SUCH A FAMOUS HADITH IN THAT THE SUNNI’S AND WAHABI’S KNOW (HADITH OF QURAN AND SUNNAH), YET FOR SURE THEN, THIS HADITH SHOULD HAVE DEFINETELY BEEN COLLECTED IN THE SIHAH SITTAH. THERE IS A WHOLE SECTION IN SAHIH BUKHARI, KNOWN AS THE SECTION OF THE QURAN AND SUNNAH.
http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc/engagement/resources/texts/muslim/hadith/bukhari/092.sbt.html
YET NOT EVEN IN THIS SECTION, IS THEIR ONE HADITH THAT THE PROPHET (SAAW), LEFT 2 THINGS BEHIND TO FOLLOW, QURAN AND SUNNAH.
HOWEVER, IN THE SIHAH SITTAH, THERE ARE ATLEAST 4 HADITHS ABOUT HADITH THAQALAYN. IT IS AMAZING THAT IN THE SIHAH SITTAH, THERE IS NOT ONE HADITH OF THE QURAN AND SUNNAH, YET THEIR IS ATLEAST 4 HADITH OF HADITH THAQALAYN. THIS IS SURELY SOMETHING THE VIEWERS SHOULD PONDER ABOUT WHEN THEY READ THIS ARTICLE, THAT HADITH OF THE QURAN AND SUNNAH IS SUCH A FAMOUS HADITH IN FOR THE SUNNI AND WAHABI FOLLOWERS, YET NEITHER THE MOST RELIABLE HADITH COLLECTORS, SAHIH BUKHARI, SAHIH MUSLIM, SUNAN IBN MAJAH, SUNAN NASAI, SUNAN ABU DAWOOD, THIRMIDHI, HAVE NOT COLLECTED EVEN ONE HADITH OF THE QURAN AND SUNNAH.
The 4 Hadiths, of Hadith Thaqalayn that have been narrated, 2 Hadith exist in Sahih Muslim, and 2 Hadith exist in Thirmidhi.
- 2 Hadith in Sahih Muslim are:
Sahih Muslim, Hadith 6225, or internet is Book 031, Number 5920:

- 2 Hadith in Thirmidhi are:

Thirmidhi, Hadith 3788:
http://www.loveforahlulbayt.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=61#3788.3789
We quote from the brother’s article:
This version has been narrated in Sunan Tirmidhi and is classed as Dhaeef (weak).
ACCORDING TO THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THIRMIDHI, TRANSLATED BY ABU KHALLYL, WITH FINAL REVIEW FROM “ISLAMIC RESEARCH SECTION DARUSSALM” IN SAUDI ARABIA, HAS DECLARED BOTH OF HADITH THAQALAYN SAHIH (AUTHENTIC) IN THIRMIDHI, AND NOT DAIF.
INFACT, THE BROTHER HAS CRITISIZE HIS OWN SUNNI SCHOLARS OF HADITH COLLECTORS, JUST LIKE THE WAY HE HAS CRITISIZE HIS OWN SUNNI SCHOLARS OF HISTORIANS.
We quote from the brother’s article of criticizing his own Sunni Scholars who collected Hadiths:
The reader might wonder why these reports can be found in Sunni books, but such a wondering is based on ignorance of the Sunni science of Hadith
We quote from another article of his criticizing his own Sunni Scholars who wrote Historian Books:

This has been answered here:
http://hadithlistcollection.blogspot.com/2010/06/tarikh-history-of-tabari.html
If the Brother criticised his own Hadith Collectors and Historians, then maybe the brother should create his own Sect with his own Scholars.
So now we will look at the 4 Hadiths that have been collected in the Sihah Sittah, of Hadith Thaqalayn.
1. Thirmidhi, Hadith 3786, revealed in Mount Arafat
Jabir ibn Adbullah said: “I Saw the Messenger of God (SAAW) during his Hajj (as the Prophet (SAAW) performed only 1 Hajj in his life), on the Day of Arafah (where he (SAAW) delivered his farewell speech). He (SAAW) was upon his camel Al-Qaswa, giving a Khutbah (farewell speech), so he (SAAW) said: O people! Indeed, I have left among you, that which if you hold fast to it, you shall not go astray: The Book of God (Quran), and my family, the People of the House (Ahlul Bayt).” (Sahih)
http://www.loveforahlulbayt.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=61#3786
Notice the place where the Prophet (SAAW) mentioned Hadith Thaqalayn, which is in his farewell speech. The Prophet (SAAW) wanted to warn his Ummah (Islamic Nation) that stick to these two things, Quran and Ahlul Bayt, and you will not be misguided after me. The Prophet (SAAW) had known that many conflicts will arise after he (SAAW) will pass away. The Prophet (SAAW) knew after he will pass away, many conflicts will arise, and Ahlul Bayt will face calamity, expulsion, exile, even death. And we see by the History of Karbala, how much Imam Hussain ibn Ali and the Ahlul Bayt suffered.
http://hadithlistcollection.blogspot.com/2010/03/shia-history-in-sunni-history-books.html
Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 43:
Narrated by Abdurrahman ibn Amr that he heard from Al-Irbad ibn Sariyah said “that the Messenger of God (SAAW) delivered his farewell speech, which made our eyes flow with tears and made our hearts melt. We said, ‘O Messenger of God (SAAW), this is your farewell speech, what do you enjoin upon us’? He (SAAW) said: ‘I am leaving you upon a path of brightness whose night is like its day. No one will deviate from it after I am gone, but one who is doomed. Whoever among you lives will see great conflicts. I urge you to adhere to my Sunnah and the Rightly Guided Khalifs (meaning the Imam’s of the Ahlul Bayt (Imam Ali ibn abu Talib))...’”

Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 4082:
It was narrated that Abdullah said : “While we were with the Messenger of Allah, some youngsters from Banu Hashim came along. When the Prophet saw them, him eyes filled with tears and his colour changed. I said:” We still see something in your face that we do not like (to see).” He (Prophet) said: “We are the members of a Household for whom Allah has chosen the Hereafter over this world. The people of my Household will face calamity, expulsion, and exile after I am gone....
http://www.loveforahlulbayt.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53&Itemid=60#4082
This was the reason why the Prophet (SAAW) mentioned Hadith Thaqalayn in his farewell speech, and many other places.
2. Thirmidhi, Hadith 3788:
Zaid ibn Arqam, narrated that the Messenger of God (SAAW) said, “Indeed, I am leaving among you, that which if you hold fast to them, you shall not be misguided after me. One of them is greater than the other: The Book of Allah (Quran) is a rope extended from the sky to the earth, and my family – the people of my house – and they shall not split until they meet me at the Hawd (Pond in after life), so look at how you deal with them after me.”
http://www.loveforahlulbayt.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=61#3788.3789
This hadith is a clear indication of the rank of Ahlul Bayt. Some Scholars of the Sunni and Wahabi Sect, question that Ahlul Bayt is not infallible. The question we ask then, is not the Quran infallible? Surely, the Quran is not a walking Quran, and is a silent Quran. But we all know that the Prophet (SAAW) is a walking Quran (meaning through his (SAAW) pious actions). But the fact is in tha Hadith, when comparing the Quran to Ahlul Bayt, the Hadith mentions, “One of them is greater then the other”, shows that the supreme purification of the Ahlul Bayt, that Ahlul Bayt (Ali ibn Abu Talib, Fatima Zehra, Hassan ibn Ali, and Hussain ibn Ali) level of purification outstands any of the Sahaba’s (companions) of the Prophet (SAAW) , and indicates Ahlul Bayt uniqueness in comparision to the Sahaba’s.
3. Sahih Muslim, Hadih 6225:
Zaid ibn Aqram narrated that the Prophet (SAAW) said at Ghadir Khumm, “I leave am leaving behing 2 weighty things, the Book of God (SAAW), and my the People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt), I remind you of God with regard to the People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt), People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt), People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt)...”
http://www.loveforahlulbayt.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52&Itemid=59#6222.6223.6224.6225.6226.6227.6228.6229
As mentioned before in Thirmidhi, the Prophet (SAAW) mentioned Hadith Thaqalayn in his farewell speech during his (SAAW) one and only Hajj. However, the Prophet (SAAW) after the Hajj, called his followers back to a place called, Khumm, to remind his followers again, warning them to stick by the Ahlul Bayt and don’t forsake them. This was a very strick reminder to the Prophet (SAAW) followers, as he mentioned 3 times, “I remind you of God with regard to the People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt), People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt), People of my Household (Ahlul Bayt)”. The Prophet (SAAW) did not only mention Hadith Thaqalayn at Ghadir Khumm, but also he mentioned about Imam Ali’s leadership (or Khilafah) after the Prophet (SAAW) for the Ummah.
We see here in Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 116:
The Prophet (SAAW) took the hand of Ali ibn Abu Talib (at Ghadir Khumm) and said to his people and followers, “Am I (SAAW) not dearer to the believers than their own selves?” they said, “Yes Indeed.” He (SAAW) said (again), “Am I (SAAW) not dearer to the believers than their own selves?” they said, “Yes Indeed.” He (SAAW) said, “This man (Ali ibn Abu Talib) is a Wali (can also mean leader) of those whom Mawla (master), O God, take friends those who take him as friends, and take as enemies those who take him as an enemy”.

Also, we see here in Thirmidhi, Hadith 3713:
The Prophet said (at Ghadir Khumm), For whomever I am his Mawla (Master), Ali is his Mawla (Master)
http://www.loveforahlulbayt.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=61#3713
Also, we see here in Tarikh Khulafah by Suyuti, Hadith narrated in the year 35AH (After Hijra):
Ali gathered some people together in the year 35AH in the court of the Mosque, and said: 'I adjure by God, every Muslim man who heard to Messenger of God (SAAW), saying on Ghadir Khumm what he said when he arose. Thirty men stood up and bore witness that the Messenger of God (SAAW) said, "for whomever I am his Master, Ali is his Master. O God, befriend whoever befriends him, and be an enemy to whoever is his enemy.

I hope one benefits the meaning of Hadith Thaqalayn from this article.
Salaam and peace to all.

In the name of God, the most beneficient, the most merciful,
All praise is due the God, Lord of the worlds, and may God send blessing to Muhammad s.a.a.w. and his family a.s.
Number one thing is we all love our sunni brothers, and we should all consider to be united, as it's the lack of unity, that our ummah is suffering today in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan, Africa, Asia, etc.
We should all keep in mind, that purification and the remembrance of God, and doing good, should be in the mind of every muslim, as we will be questioned for our actions in the day of Judgement.
In reply to this website:
Word Games With Verse 33:33 with Ayat Thathir (Verse of Purification), first thing is that Quran doesn't have full explanation of everything, that's why people go to Hadith and History to find out more details about what the Quran is talking about.
For example, let's have a look at prayer (Salat), which is a fundamental practise for every muslim 5 times a day, yet the Quran doesn't mention anywhere of how to pray. So people would have to go to Hadith, History, etc. to see how to pray. So for the verse of purification also, we must go and look into the Hadiths and History books to see who the verse of purification is referring to. According to sahih (authentic) and hasan (accepted) hadith in sunni hadith books, the verse of purification (33:33) does not mention the wives of the Prophet s.a.a.w. at all, and it only refers to Ali a.s., Fatima a.s., Hassan a.s., and Hussain a.s., as shown below:
Sahih Muslim - Hadith Number 6261:
Thirmidhi - Hadith Number 3871:
So for the brother to claim for this webpage (http://www.ahlelbayt.com/articles/ahlel-bayt/word-games), who claims that the verse of purification refers to the wife of the Prophet s.a.a.w. as well, i think he should look at his own hadith books before he makes future comments.
